Oxon Hill Manor is a majestic colonial-style mansion that was built for Undersecretary of State Sumner Welles during the Roosevelt administration. It lies on 55 acres in the town of Oxon Hill, Maryland, just south of Washington, D.C. on I-95. Visitors can tour the house and grounds, which feature a rose-covered reflecting pool, gorgeous lawns, and a terrace overlooking the Potomac River.
